When Paradise, CA became hell on Earth, we should have taken the angel Greta's warnings very seriously. Instead, she was mocked by many and precious time has been wasted.
Now the Earth itself is sending us wake up calls that few intelligent people can ignore. We have crossed tipping points and more serious tipping points are in our path. The time to change course is now if we want to mitigate far worse effects of climate pollution. Ernie

@GrinNude Tragically warnings about it made 100 years ago went unheeded, probably thanks to a widespread and entirely understandable belief that we will progress our way out of any such problem by sheer "taming Nature".
Besides the predicted tipping-points based on contemporary statistics of population growth and coal consumption (still the primary fuel in the early-20C) were well into the 21C, later even than now, so perhaps thought too remote to be important.
Only Nature cannot be tamed, and if bitten, bites back.
