Yes. She inspired a whole youth movement and has catapulted climate change into the mainstream, from which it can never disappear again 😊

@SW-User Fair enough.

And as a reward she’s been granted membership into the ranks of the elite , touring the world in private jets, driven by chauffeurs in limousines and luxury cars , between vacations on luxury yachts and resorts all over the world as she lectures the rest of us about our need sacrifice our comfort in the interest of forestalling climate change.

In the meantime her carbon footprint grows every day being already hundreds of times greater than yours and mine.

Of course I hang on her every word waiting for her to tell my how I need to live while she becomes more wealthy by the day and her carbon footprint grows and grows and grows.

@Onestarlitnight She doesn't use private jets. She hasn't spoken about sacrificing comfort. She has lambasted governments, not us, for not listening to the science.

Listen to facts, rather than NewsMax.

@MarmeeMarch By speaking unapologetically and truthfully about the threat of climate change. Too many people moderate what they say, and her ability to state the science and its implications without spin regardless of who she's spealing to, is why she's having such an effect. She has made every young person believe that they have power. She’s challenged young people to join the frontlines and have a say in the affairs of their future.

Her impact has been indelible and inspirational. She has inspired many school children to pay attention to climate and environmental issues and the climate strike movement shows the power that lies in each and every one of us when we relentlessly dedicate ourselves to positive change. In a time of competing headlines, being able to draw attention to an issue of such importance it is a critical part of creating unstoppable momentum in confronting the climate crisis we all face.

And the reason all the right-wingers on this site, including you, are losing their shit over her is because she is so difficult to discredit. Her activism is rooted in science rather than politics, despite what you all want to believe. But it also has to do with the fact that she’s genuine. Unlike other high-profile climate activists, she can’t easily be accused of even occasional hypocrisy: In addition to being vegan, she abstains from plane travel and mass consumerism. having an effect. So many more people believe climate change is a dire emergency compared with a few years ago, and her words are driving renewable energy policies, regenerative agriculture, rewilding, veganism, etc. all over the world. She is amazing.

[big]Go Greta! [/big]

@MarmeeMarch No, only right-wingers like yourself believe she has a science background. She has never said she has a science background. Europe does not believe she has a science background. She says [big]Listen to the science[/big], but that's it.

Also, there's a lot of information out there that contradicts a helluva lot of what caclubindia says. For example, only one private jet trip mentioned, not 90. There's no evidence the Rothschild's "sponsor" her in any way. In fact a lot of the things you mention seem to be ONLY found on that CAClubIndia site.

She is also worth approximately $1 million dollars.

Anyway, tough. Even if every single thing you mention is true (and it's not, not even close), she is a global figurehead for the climate fight, and if it wasn't for her we would be fucked.

@MarmeeMarch Go ahead. Any info is helpful. And as I said, Europe does not believe Thunberg has a science background. She has never said so.

@MarmeeMarch So you deny man-made climate change?

@MarmeeMarch what's that supposed to mean? And way to avoid my question by deflecting back to me.

@MarmeeMarch Yes, they extract lithium for batteries, the vast majority of which go into millions upon millions, perhaps even billions, of smartphones.

And are you seriously suggesting lithium needs to be in the earth...? Nothing else should be left in the earth, perhaps...?

And yet I'm the one with no education...?

@MarmeeMarch Do you deny man-made climate change? Yes or no?
SW-User
@MarmeeMarch You're going to start an argument about lithium being the ruination of the planet?

Lithium has not pushed CO2 in the atmosphere to dangerous levels.
Lithium has not led to the pollution of the earth from the top of mount Everest to the bottom of the Mariana Trench
Lithium has not caused the extinction of millions of plant and animal species, or the deaths of millions of people from contaminated water, toxic smoke, and cancers.
Lithium has not caused the invasion of whole countries under false pretences
Lithium has not caused a few people in the world to amass colossal wealth while half the world's population lives on less than $1 a day.

I could go on, but I'll simply ask:

Do you deny man-made climate change?

@Onestarlitnight Please reread some of the comments above I’m going to detail as to how this person that you think of as creating a giant carbon footprint… isn’t
