The real problem is that several airports, and airplanes had to immediately diverted to prevent a disaster.

The "fireworks" field was not expected and the air corridor set aside by the FAA was not nearly large enough.

And that's the part the Musk is mum about. He was really proud that the booster was back on the its launch pad.
