Let's talk about the life of Brandon Brown.
Who's he, you ask? And why am I talking about him here?
Brandon Brown is a NASCAR racer.
Or at least, he used to be before he was life was ruined by MAGATS.
You see, one day, he was being interviewed by Kelli Stevast, when the audience behind him started chanting "F*ck Joe Biden!" Kelli, whether because she actually misheard them, or because she was trying not to get all political on TV, said, "You can hear the chant from the crowd, 'Let's go Brandon!'"
That's right. That was the birth of that ridiculous childish slogan. And it would go on to destroy his career.
All of a sudden, Brandon Brown started losing sponsorships, because MAGATS picked up on the slogan as a euphemism. His company, Brandonbilt Motorsports, began to struggle. Did anyone care? Of course not! They had a fun new catch phrase.
In 2021, in a desperate attempt to revive his career, Brown announced that he would be sponsored by a meme coin called Let's Go Brandon Coin, or LGBCoin, despite being politically neutral and having no desire to back either candidate. This sponsorship was rejected by NASCAR, who also wanted to remain politically neutral. Brandon stopped racing in 2022, but held out hope that after the 2024 election, the slogan would go away and his career would finally be resurrected.
It was not.
