Contrary to what others have posted, the FBI chief said
Comey on Monday publicly confirmed for the first time that his agency is investigating possible collusion between Russia and the Trump campaign and whether any crimes may have been committed during last year's election campaign as part of a wider probe into the hacking of Democratic servers and the Clinton campaign.
"That includes investigating the nature of any links between individuals associated with the Trump campaign and the Russian government and whether there was any coordination between the campaign and Russia's efforts," Comey said in his opening statement to the committee.
This doesn't mean Trump knew about it, authorized it, or was complicit and involved personally in it. It may have happened without his knowing.
James Clapper, former Director of National Intelligence Has said, and Comey today has reiterated there is NO EVIDENCE of any kind that Trumps accusation that Obama had Trump Tower surveliied is even true. They did there best to not call the sitting President an absolute liar.
Trump had until today to provide any evidence they have of such a thing happening. Each day we have heard they have evidence and want to bring it to the Congressional investigations. That didn't happen. They offered nothing. There is no such evidence.
Trump is a conspiracy theory addict, which jeapordizes the USA, and his Apprentice loving sheep aren't helping by nodding their heads to everything BasketWeaveHead in Chief says.
He's a disaster. Even right wing Republicans need to dump him soon before he causes another international disaster to divert attention from his own failings as President. And that is a very real threat.
So far, he has shown understanding of NOTHING.
And each day we are treated to his White House pooper-scoopers who go out and DAILY have to tell us what the President MEANT to say, rather than the discombobulated rant he did actually say.
Never in history has an American President needed a team of Explainers to smooth over the diarrhoea he creates with his tweets and meetings.
Even the Rightest wing of the Republican Party could choose better than this Disaster in Chief.
