I Hate Donald Trump

Ok, maybe *hate* is a strong word...
I used to watch his goofy reality tv show the Apprentice- it was fun, mindless entertainment. I read his book, "The Art of the Deal". It is striking to me how much he wanted to portray himself as this middle class guy- he states in the book he is an independent voter and came from a modest background. I have toured a few Trump towers- they are ok and kind of amusing for their gaudy, gold facade signaling bad taste. But whatever- Donald Trump has been entertaining and amusing the public for decades with his antics. I think he isn't an evil guy and he really does want to do good things for everyone.
I applaud that he has been diligent and hard working about keeping his promises on his platform since taking office. I really respect his work ethic and sense of responsibility to his base. Some of his policies - like building america's infrastructure I support.

What I have a problem with is everything else-
1.) he needs to behave like a grown up. My kids all under age 10 demonstrate more empathy and maturity than he does. He is not "shaking things up", he is digging his own grave with his immaturity and twitter feed. At times his behavior appears pathological- fitting the criteria of narcissism. This is never a good trait to see in a leader.
2.) he needs to learn to listen and when to let it go. He has strong opinions which is a good quality, but he needs to consider all of the facts and the big picture before he gets feisty. He seems to have difficulty discerning facts from the narrative he wants to believe.
3.) the advisers and cabinet members he is surrounding himself with ARE generally homogenous and not that distinguished. That's concerning.
4.) he needs to act like a leader and not a tyrant. America and the world expects this. A leader plays to their natural strengths and leans on a diverse group of others when there is a gap in their abilities. He needs a good dose of humility as this is THE FIRST TIME he has ever had a government position. The US govt operates very differently from
A corporation. Humility is not a weakness!
5.) he has to understand that while he did win the electoral college, he did not win the majority vote and there will be blowback if he pushes too much change too soon. He would be wise to take an incremental approach to some of the changes he wants to see.
6.) he needs to treat everyone with the respect he wants to be shown. If you want respect it is earned through your actions- never demanded.

Maybe in four years I will eat my words and he will be a great leader who delivers a great America again. But less than a month into his presdidency - im not holding my breath. Time will tell...

He has never done anything for anyone but himself in his entire life. He is the perfect definition of a psychopath. I'll be surprised if he is still alive a year from now.

That maybe true, despite all the donations he has made. I've never met him and don't know him at all.
