I think they recognized that the tariffs are worth the cost given how Canadians have coalesced around this. It's a moment of patriotism for a country that is moving forward with bold actions across a variety of sectors. Their "enemy" is weakened and moving backwards. Canada knows it and so does every other U.S. ally.
