Cyrus? The Persian King?
In a real strange turn of events, the Babylonian (Saddam's people) had conquered Judea and took the followers of Abraham as slaves to Babylon. Cyrus the Great (Persia/Iran) invaded Babylon and freed the Jews from their Babylonian captivity in 539 BCE allowing them to return to Jerusalem, rebuild their Temple, and take back sacred vessels.
This account is supported by the Cyrus Cylinder, which documents his policy of allowing displaced people to return home.
That would be nice, right? Praise God indeed 🤣
God has used some very strange people in the past to carry out his will. Think of Cyrus.
If Trump is now moving to peace, then let us praise and thank God.
