I retired from the USAF after just shy of thirty years at the end of his third year of his first term.
I was prepared to resign (thus losing my pension, benefits, potentially VA benefits [GI Bill for my youngest daughter’s graduate degree]) if he issued an illegal order. Fortunately that didn’t happen, but many are now facing that tough decision.
