Too many masochists, so one big mob working together to destroy reality itself and all innocence and hope too.

Its a false power thing

Ask the children destroyed from sexual exploitation, all about him and his bestie polluting the snoooooze these days.

@Ohplease47 Yes. Its hard to find a redeeming quality in the man. Isnt it?😷
Ohplease47 · F
@whowasthatmaskedman who would bother to look for crime sake?
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Ohplease47 And there is your problem.. In almost any other country, Trump would be seeing out his days in jail along with most of his immediate family. But not in America..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman whole country has turned into a prison cell

"But not in America."

The Democrats had four years to bring significant charges against Trump. Instead, in the New York City prosecution, they parlayed false accounting into "34 felonies," (with no penalty when Trump got re-elected) and in the NY state case, had a partisan judge impose a ridiculous $500 million fine that was quickly overturned by a higher court. These absurdly overblown cases did the bumbling Democrats far more political harm than good, and were a not insignificant factor in Trump's re-election.

As for other factors, see the clip below:

@Thinkerbell From outside those legal maneuvers looked manipulated by a corrupt system. But then I figure we got a very different media coverage than you do back there. And dont get me started on the US legal system, without which Trump would have died in front of a TV in a trailer park years ago.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

Different coverage...? 🤔 That clip above from Sky News is quite similar to what might have been shown on Fox in the US. And of course there is a plethora of left-biased MSM outlets in the US that faithfully toe the Democrats' line in much the same way the left media in Oz does, or say the Guardian in the UK does.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Yes. Here Sky news is considered "Far Right" and hardly fair and balanced. The political nature of control in politics happens everywhere. But the bias in America is extreme compared to most places.😷

"The political nature of control in politics happens everywhere."

Hmm... a word-salad worthy of Kamala...? 🤔
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Its simple enough but takes more keystrokes. Money controls who gets nominated in the first place, then who gets elected. Porkbarrelling is rife and obvious in ways that would land anyone in court in most countries (even ex Princes) and the political appointment of judges and heads of departments is SO blatantly political that even most Americans would be ashamed of it..In short. The system is bent in a way that can hardly be called democracy. And certainly not government of the people by the people, for the people. Lincoln would be disappointed..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@whowasthatmaskedman Now I did a little digging, and fact checking to keep everyone honest. So while the people are suspect (They are Americans after all) Everything they claim is absolutely verifiable, and would make news in my country if our politicians did it..

Your word-salad could have been made more comprehensible with just a slight change:

The political nature of control in supposedly non-political areas happens everywhere.

As for govt of, by and for the people, I noticed that in the latest election in the UK, Labour garnered almost 2/3 of the seats in the House of Commons, but got only slightly over 1/3 of the national popular vote. And of course they got the office of PM as well.

Meanwhile, in the US, you have people (mostly Democrats) caterwauling about how unfair it was that Trump won over Hillary in 2016, despite having 2% less of the national popular vote.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Yes. I dont claim America has a monopoly on such things. But I will claim that money and corporate structures are better placed to utilise their resources to take advantage.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

"I dont claim America has a monopoly on such things."

The understatement of the year. In 1860, Lincoln got just under 40% of the national popular vote, but had a 60% majority in the Electoral College, and so became President. That's rather better than Starmer's Labour party getting 33% of the national popular vote and making him PM with their 66% majority in Commons.

And maybe in other countries, money and other resources change hands in a more discreet fashion. Who was that recent UK PM who had a secret bank account in Panama...? 🤔
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell Yes. I do tend to understatement. In my employment "diplomacy" was an advantage.😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

Must have been the British influence. 🤭
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell That didnt hurt. But when in an Arabic or Asian country, one tends to be polite. Particularly when you know they can drop you in the desert 50 miles from the nearest toilet. (Or anything else)😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

You would never make it as Lawrence... 🤭
(see especially the last minute of the clip)

@Thinkerbell No. I wouldnt. And that was never my job..😷

@whowasthatmaskedman

Lucky for you. 🤭
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@Thinkerbell I have had more than my fair share of luck one way and another..😷
