I'd love to go to a pub...have some beers...eat a little food and ask this man a million questions...

@newjaninev2 You just have to learn to read Trump. He is the compass that always points south. Once you understand that, just about everything he says makes sense..😷

Those who might take issue with this assessment will either have blocked you or not have the concentration to stick with it. I thought it was accurate...but then, I would. It's also very concerning.

@FreddieUK The real point of this was to get to Americans an unvarnished view of how the rest of the planet sees Trump and Americans reaction to him. I know this message isnt cutting through to Americans generally.😷

I have written about this before. I have lived on the north side of the Canada/US border for my whole life and what this video is about can only be appreciated by non-Americans.
Why is that?
Because the entire essence of what this video is about would remain invisible to any American who took the time to watch it.
Invisible? Why is that?
Because what this video reveals is not a difference, but a similarity.
When a non-American like yourself views this video, you must cringe with disgust because it reveals the opposite of who you really are as a non-American.
But if Americans viewed this video, they would wonder what the point is of the video?
This is because what Americans would see with Donald Trump is similarity, not difference. The point of this video therefore, would not actually resonate with an American because they would see themselves in the video, not Donald Trump.
One of the very first things I learned about Donald Trump after reading several of his so-called autobiographies when I was a student in high school, was that Donald Trump epitomizes how the rest of the world views the average American Joe. Who Donald is, is actually what America is all about.
What Donald does, most Americans do. What Donald says, most Americans say and what Donald believes about himself is what most Americans believe about themselves.
In other words, Donald J. Trump is a clone of the world's perception of what an American looks like, talks like ..and acts like when out in public.
Donald J. Trump is completely uncultured, but then again, so is the average American. When Americans see Donald Trump on TV, he represents what American viewers see of themselves when they look in the mirror. Donald reminds Americans of themselves when he speaks, which is why Donald became America's President twice.
He became President twice because Americans resonated with his boorish, loud, obnoxious behavior and quite frankly, never thought anything of it... other than how much they are just like him and how much he is just like them! Bingo! Trump became Mister America in the eyes of Americans!
I travel the world a lot. One thing I've noticed about Americans when they travel is that if they're traveling solo, they tend to blend into the woodwork because they look as well as feel completely out of place everywhere they go. They look awkward. They look geekish. They look completely out of their element once they step foot off American soil.
But as soon as an American happens to notice another American somewhere in the crowd of otherwise foreign strangers, those two American strangers will migrate toward each other from across the room and will hook-up in immediate conversation, even if one American is White and the other American is Black.
But those same two Americans would NEVER in a hundred years, walk up to a complete stranger from a foreign country and strike up that same conversation with him, even if the foreign stranger spoke perfect English!
Americans intuitively recognize the American persona in other American strangers around them and they will intuitively migrate to be within each other's immediate social circle, rather than attempt to join the social circle of people from a foreign country, even if every stranger in the room is speaking without an interpreter!
For an American to watch this video you've provided would turn out to be an irrelevant exercise because they would not see what the point of the video was, simply because what they see with Trump, they recognize within themselves. This video therefore would be lost on Americans.
Who this video is for in truth, are non-Americans. This is because non-Americans are the only ones who would understand what the essence of this video is actually about.

@swirlie As much as I hate to say it, I broadly agree with you. I personally know Americans this does not apply to. But they are educated and generally well travelled outside the US and exposed to other foreign influences.. Who your statements do apply to is the American Everyman. And we have enough of those here.. Those who believe in American exceptionalism.. And that might gives you rights and America is just better.. We know different of course.
On the almost plus side, those Americans are part of what will make America not so great in a very short time, precisely because they dont see the problem..😷

I didn't watch all of his long rambling speech but I saw clips of one part where he said "they call me daddy!" Unbelievable.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@JimboSaturn Unbelievable. But very real.. This is your monkey and your circus. It might pay to watch it right through. (OK. Not yours specifically. But set up next door to you and upwind..).😷

@whowasthatmaskedman When Trump has been removed we will not forget the congress members, R or D, who collaborated with his fascist regime.
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@dancingtongue The gridlock of congress and the blocking role of the Senate were accomplished in Phase 1.. That ship sailed..😷
whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, M
@badminton Remembering the congress members wont be enough. Who got nominated and how they got elected is where you have to start. Money buys every election in America..And this latest episode could be a cost cutting measure to cut out the middle man.. The voter..😷

@JSul3 Thats a fair assessment. And while hate is too strong a word. very few people have much sympathy for Americans now. They dug this hole...😷
