@meJess In what way. Postponing some local elections IF THE LOCAL AUTHORITY AGREES is not cancelling elections. Personally I'm not in favour of my Council Tax being spent to put in a council for one year.

@FreddieUK £30 a month goes to my Parish Council. They spend it on the village bowling green!

@peterlee That's remedied by finding enough people to object and vote in another lot...who wil spend the money on something else you don't like. 😂

@FreddieUK if the local authority agrees is it because they know they are not going to be re-elected? What is the difference between a delay with no clear timeline and a cancellation?
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@meJess There is a clear timeline. The elections will be next year instead of this.

@FreddieUK and your digital ID will be ready too 😜

@meJess You mean the one they have decided to scrap?
meJess · F
@FreddieUK yep you get it, good
FreddieUK · 70-79, M
@meJess I'm glad you believe you have made a point. Unfortunately, I'm too thick to get it. 🤷‍♂

@FreddieUK The amount the Parish Council takes is discretionary , up to a certain amount. They don’t have to raise it at all.

They opposed social housing in the village. I dread to think what they would do if they had asylum seekers there.
