Trump says US will launch land strikes on cartel sites

President Donald Trump said Thursday that the U.S. military will begin land strikes targeting drug cartel facilities, dramatically escalating his administration's campaign against narcotics trafficking just days after American forces captured Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro.

"We are going to start now hitting the land with regard to the cartels," Trump told Fox News in an interview, adding that "the cartels are running Mexico". The president provided no specific details about timing, locations, or targets for the operations.
