Trump Says he doesn't need international law

Well that's it folks. Here comes the worst year in recent history.

I gather his comments were originally in a much longer Washington Post interview.

I wonder if he really thought about what he projected of himself?

Regarding international affairs only, and by only his words quoted in the MSN extracts:

His definitions of personal morality and international law seem to fit the sentence from Alice in Wonderland, "It means whatever I want it to mean".

The report shows a new slant on his demanding Greenland: pure acquisitiveness; not security nor minerals. The USAAF already has a base on the island, and since Denmark is a NATO member, would likely host other facilities there... but guest allies are expected to act properly and sensitively for the land and its residents. It does not need annexing by a foreign country, even if a NATO one; and NATO was established to defend against such.

Claiming that China will not seize Taiwan while he is President, is bizarre. Presidents Xi and Trump have somewhat similar attitudes to international law; but the MSN does not give Trump's opinion on Taiwan. If China moves to occupy the island, as its forces are rehearsing, it will not care about objections, least of all from the USA.

Whatever Donald Trump's ability at running his own nation - and we foreigners do respect that was he elected to be President and his Party to be that of government - internationally he is dangerously undiplomatic and inept. He showed that in his first presidency, when he wanted to buy Greenland and take over Britains's National Health Service; but he has become rather more bellicose since.

Whatever will he do next? Only Donald John Trump knows.

@ArishMell Canada (for NORAD) and Panama again. Then on to Columbia possibly Brazil even. Brazil is apart of BRICS though.

When Trump takes Greenland that will throw us out of NATO. Which will invalidate the NORAD agreement. Canada is as well apart of NATO.

Columbia as well has expressed concerns over Trump's policies. Especially in Venezuela. It's already affecting them.

@DeWayfarer misinformation about Canada has already begun. I expect a full on hate campaign against us this year.
@JimboSaturn in general hate never entered into most US territory acquisition. They have an interest in acquiring control of your government or taking over, so they will, since people don't stop the USA. That's the Monroe Doctrine as practiced by James K Polk and all US governments since.
