I think Nations should take lessons from Donald J Trump on

How not to get into a full scale war and yet take the main culprit out. Vladimir could have done so long back with Ukraine but then how could it have been called a war? How would a million people die then?
Maybe there still are people who don't like Trump's move but I love it.

And from my childhood days, I always thought why Nations get into war with each other when they could minimalize it by Just taking out the president or the main king. Today, My childhood question got answered. Thanks to DJT.

Problem with this approach is that usually there's no thought beyond the initial strike.

Remember that the modern Iranian state is1 the consequence of a regime change that, ultimately, didn't have the effect originally intended.

Who's going to fill the power vacuum left by forcibly removing Maduro?

@Elessar The Nobel peace prize winner. Either way, US allies will enjoy free oil coupon now.

@DanielsASJ Trump's already said she's not a good fit and that he intends to temporarily "run" the country. Also it was Maduro that was extracted, not the whole apparatus, cartels, etc. that responded to him. If these people fight back the transition isn't that simple.

Permanent occupation until they settle down? You've seen how well that worked in Afghanistan

@Elessar You worry too much. Just get your gas filled up and roam around. Go holiday. Have fun.

@DanielsASJ And you worry too little, which is exactly the point being made.

4 years from now it'll be "WhY DiD JoE BiDeN MaKe Us InVaDe VeNeZuElA???" plastered all over my feed lol

@Elessar So you worry about your feeds 4 years ahead of the time?
Elessar · 31-35, M
@DanielsASJ Not worry but guess

@DanielsASJ To restore Venezuela's oil production to even a minimally useable level will take at least a decade and enormous sums of investment money (many tens of billions).

Any oil corporation is going to require serious guarantees over the long-term before betting the company in the face of regional instability and American whimsy
