Trump supporters, do you want this war?

Its a genuine question.

He has previously taken up anti-war positions, and America First was meant to be non-interventionist.

No formal war has been declared, and that's a key point. Trump's "America First" approach has historically emphasized avoiding endless foreign entanglements, like pulling back from Afghanistan and focusing on diplomacy over boots-on-the-ground interventions. If there's talk of escalation (assuming this is about [whatever recent event, e.g., tensions with X country]), I'd say most of us don't want another war—it's draining on resources, lives, and the economy. What we do support is strong deterrence and protecting U.S. interests without getting sucked into quagmires.

@BobbySpeedy No formal.war has been declared because they ignored Congress.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
I read a headline this morning saying that a majority of Republicans support it.

( I think it was a CNN poll.)
I’m curious, too.
After all, they’ve always bragged that Trump hadn’t gotten us involved in any foreign wars.
That ended when we attacked Iran’s leader…

Love that it's not war bc Congress hasn't declared it but according to the nonce and his supporters all military actions before him were acts of war

“Because the Trump movement is a cult of personality, with no consistent principles and no concern for truth, many of its boosters don’t care whether the success is real or phony. They don’t care whether the advertised “success” actually happened the way Trump says it did. They don’t care whether the so-called success achieves anything important or lasting. They don’t care if there later turns out to be a corrupt underside. They celebrate peace plans that don’t bring peace, trade deals that don’t enhance trade. The Trump movement exists to glorify Trump, in all his erratic mania. Results in the real world don’t matter.”

@Bumbles despite their denials they March lock step, bipartisanly, together with amazing coordination

America always needs war to survive. First, afghanistan, then libya, then Iraq, then Syria and recently Venezuela. Next will be Iran. America will want to destroy small / smaller countries that strengthen China/Brics, that's what people says.
Prison1203 · 61-69, M
@dubum this is not a war . This was the capturing of a fugitive from law and was not the rightful president of Venezuela and he’s a narcoterrorist
MoveAlong · 70-79, M
@Prison1203 Narcoterrorist. Just a trump buzzword thrown out to be slurped up by the cult.

There is no war!
basilfawlty89 · 36-40, M
Yes.
But only because he wants it.
Cult of Personality means blind devotion.

MAGAs are nihilistic, they don't actually care about anything but messing with other people.

You are betting against the odds. Can’t think of to many times a forced regime change has worked our well. Can you?

Come on! You don't recall how well the regime change we committed in Iran in 1953 worked out?

How about the attempted regime change in North Korea?

How about the attempted regime change in Vietnam?

How about all the regime changes that became known as the Banana Republics?

How about the regime change in Afghanistan?

How about the regime change in Iraq?

But does anyone remember when Trump and Pompeo attempted a coup in Venezuela during his first term?

Yeah, I thought about it, but JFK did not insist on it. Good news though, Rubio said yesterday what Havana should be paying attention. I bet he's going to be appointed Governor of our new Cuba territory.
