DEI and it's misconceptions

DEI stands for Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion, a strategic framework aimed at fostering workplaces and institutions where a variety of individuals from different backgrounds can belong, thrive, and contribute. Diversity refers to the presence of human differences like race, ethnicity, and gender, while equity focuses on dismantling systemic barriers to ensure fair access to opportunities. Inclusion ensures that all individuals, especially those historically excluded, can participate fully and feel valued.
Here's a breakdown of each component:
Diversity: The presence of a wide range of human differences and backgrounds within a group, including race, ethnicity, gender, sexual orientation, age, ability, and socioeconomic status.
Equity: A process that ensures fair treatment and access to resources and opportunities for all individuals, working to address historical and systemic inequalities.
Inclusion: The practice of creating a workplace or environment where everyone feels respected, supported, and able to participate fully and contribute their unique perspectives.

The misconception is that diversity equity and inclusion somehow allow for a lesser quality. When it is bigotry and racism that allow for a lesser quality. If you have a white person of lesser qualification than a black person of higher qualification the white person will be hired. DEI allows for equality regardless of race ethnicity and gender. Whereas before there was no equality only whites were given opportunity. The problem is that racists and bigots don't want equality for minorities.

Equality and equity come through entitlements. Obviously you're too conservative for that.
