I'll be real, yes, I do think that the older generations have a responsibility. Not just because of the turn things took, but because that's how nature works. Parents make sure they don't leave a mess behind for future generations. Leave it better than you found it. Nobody lives forever so you make sure your young can make it without you.

No, the maga boomers are not better or worse, but with experience is supposed to come wisdom and growth.

Like if I child does something very bad, it's not because he was born a little jerk, he was raised by jerks.

Accountability from the maga boomers is not happening, I know it, but I'll not argue with someone I would stand beside because they don't like me speaking up against a group of people that just happens to be the same age as them.

But based upon your argument, you should understand why some boomers are conservative—a larger percentage of the generation raising them were. Those of us who are progressive learned to think for ourselves. The first GenXs were born when I was five. You don’t think it’s time for them to stop blaming their parents and do likewise ?

@bijouxbroussard I think it's time for everyone to do something, but everyone thinks they're right, so maybe it doesn't even matter.

I'm a millennial, and I don't know how I'm gonna make it, and I did all the things I was taught and told were stable and honest. Just like we all did.

I've been through horrible things, and instead of telling my son, you're on your own, I can't handle it, I try to create a better world. My goal in life is to have anything to leave him to help because I see how bad it's getting. That's my job and I take it seriously because I know what it's like to be left behind. It's scary and impossible.

So I will stand up.

And I'm departing this discussion. We aren't connecting or agreeing and that's okay. I have nothing but respect for you. I have nothing but respect for your generation and each generation that thinks for themselves. We all have a right to think for ourselves. Cheers to that little freedom we still have.
