All that money coming from Japan and the EU......,.,....... sort of

The American Presidents latest amazing "deals" have already gone t*ts up.. Sorry. I mean "been clarified" by the Japanese and EU negotiators.. All that free money and "investment" will be made available by private enterprise "if and when" they choose to make it and the situation feels right and well after Trump is gone.. Maybe...😷

For the first 19 years of my life, I lived within a 20 minute drive of one of the half-dozen battle sites where the Americans tried to annex Canada during the War of 1812, which they tried 7 times to achieve but failed miserably to achieve 7 times over, only to be beaten back south to the land of squalor and abject poverty where they all ended up as disgruntled ex-Pat MAGA-types formerly from Britain.

Occasionally, my mother would pack a picnic basket on a Sunday in summer and we'd head down the road, ending up sitting at a picnic table adjacent to a bronze monument at a roadside rest stop at one of the exact spots in Ontario where the Americans snuck across the Canada/US border and tried to make Canada part of the USA.

This historical bronze event-marker was near and dear to my father's heart because it reminded him of stories his grandfather had told him of Hitler's army walking into Amsterdam and temporarily annexing Holland, until the day Canadian Army tanks showed up and liberated Holland from Nazi Germany.

This bronze marker told the story of how this same event came close to unfolding in Canada when the US Army suddenly showed up unannounced and uninvited while bringing their fascist offerings with them for everyone to enjoy.

It was pitiful when I think about it, how the US Army while acting under direct orders from an incompetent President at the time, would actually try to make a land-grab on America's behalf, despite the US government at the time demonstrating themselves incapable of managing the country it already had on the books. In that regard, nothing has changed in the USA in the last 213 years because the silly twits still act today like typical Americans did back in 1812.

When I stay overnight at my parent's farm in southern Ontario and right on the north shore of Lake Erie, I still look out my old bedroom window which faces south and still feel a sense of total disgust as I gaze across the lake at night and can clearly see the lights of Cleveland Ohio obscuring my distant view. 🫩

Trump can't come up with distractions fast enough to cover his butt over the Jeffery Epstein saga. Tariffs were working to that end for a while but now they're just boring to listen to and Carney knows it better than anyone I'm sure.
