America: Why didn't you vote?

Each day I read the news headlines or hear on TV what new and despicable act Donald tRump has committed to embarrass his country while acting OUTSIDE of the oaths and mandate of his office and at his own whim and egregiousness.
How such an embarrassing person continues to hold office without criticism or sanction tells me much about American pride - and what level it has allowed itself to deteriorate to.
Where were the sensible people who didn't vote when the past election was held? Why does this farce of statesmanship continue to rule your country?

@Slicker24 I support your comments. I have great difficulty understanding why in a great country of 335 million people that there is such a void of candidates. Could it be that your national party system is broken and that the 'suits' who run them are stifling the process for open selection of candidates? Didn't James Madison pen that, "Every person in the United States of America has the right to compete for its Presidency."
