Ukraine is a new battle to be quickly resolved.
History demonstrates otherwise.

@SumKindaMunster America being involved is new. Compared to israel-palestine its much much more new.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist
Not really. We've been mucking around there since the fall of the Soviet Union.

@SumKindaMunster compared to israel palestine which is centuries ongoing America in Ukraine is "new"
exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster additionally America destabilizing The former soviet union and "bloc" is largely what caused the situation in Ukraine now.
So; Wake up.
So; Wake up.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist Maybe you should "wake up". You make statements, then can't back them up with facts. Israel has only been a country since 1948, Ukraine and Russia's issues go back even further.
exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster the conflict between israelis and palestinians predates jesus. Yes. Israel being recognized (on the world stage) as a nation since 1948. Nationhood didnt solve the issue in Palestine or Israel.
Ukraine\Russia predates King David and solomon? Id be suprised. Ukraine is not a religious conflict its a sovereign entity seeking nationhood. Israel\hamas is far older and largely religion based (ideology focused) America as a nation of freedom of religion, thus should'nt be involved. Vestiges of ww2 pride and flashback is keeping us involved on "moral grounds". Ukraine is a beurgeoning democracy embattled by a tyannical "empire". Russia is not Soviet anymore.
Wake up.

@exchrist Keep moving them goalposts. First it was "Israel", now it's "israelis". That's two separate things.
exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster ok and i refer to conflict not only the geographic area. I never called it "Isrselis" the parties involved are cousins. Also you choose not to address any of the other valid points?
Maybe it was an autocorrect or a typo. Stay on topic!

exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster are not Israelis from israel? Therefore why are you changing the goalposts? No comment eh? That a line from Mr. Trump. A High bar isnt't it.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist I did stay on topic. Your original comment was about the nations of Israel and Ukraine and how Israel is an unending conflict and Ukraine is not...
I wholeheartedly disagree with that notion and stated why.
You then moved the goalposts and here we are.

SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist I've already addressed that point in my previous comment.
exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster okay i got distracted; agree. Ive got a few convos going. Ukraine is far newer it is ontrack to become "unending" but it doesnt have to.
exchrist · 31-35
@SumKindaMunster idk the policies in the Russian Federation. But it seems many politicians still refer to and think of Russia as the Soviet Union. That union dissolved in 1991. A trial separation? Idk but that "domestic incident" is far more recent than Israel Palestine. It seems better to assign some social workers to the situation and see if this conflict might mediate itself.
Why does it always have to be bullets and tanks? Certainly we can all be adults?
Have the involved parties all be onstage of a Steve Wilkos episode? Maybe Jerry Springer could assist.
"Ukraine took Putins baby? Who's your daddy, Israel?"
Would make for a great episode title!

@SumKindaMunster lets make this fun you know?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist I believe the United States should decouple from Ukraine. If they want us to mediate, ok, but otherwise we shouldn't be supporting this conflict.
I'm not happy with the US involvement in Israel, but based on history and previous events, its very likely they would not survive long without us backing them. They are the only Western nation in the Middle East, they are an important ally in my opinion.

@SumKindaMunster and I dissgree Israel will survive without the u.s.. They'd been doing so for a very long time already. Ukraine is a key ally in Eastern Europe\near middle east. Ukraine needs our help Israel got itself into the mess its in generations ago and is capitalizing on the sympathy of others from ww2 sentiments.
Theirs is a domestic dispute (among cousins, over an inheritence). Ukraine is vying for its independence from a collapsing Federation (Empire).
Ukraine's situation is far more similar to America's seperation from England than israel's situation as it "hissy fits" violently with its distant cousin over an inheritance of otherwise dilapidated properties.

@SumKindaMunster indeed Palestine deserves US (our) help more than Israel does.
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist Really? They chose to let Hamas rule them.
Hamas is a terror organization, taking its queues from Iran.
I don't see how its in our interest to help them.
Do you remember the PLO, Yassir Arafat and Mahmadd Abbas?

@SumKindaMunster israel commits violence "acts of terror" against palestinians routinely. Hammas gained control promising to reduce that , to resist oppression, and tofight back.
Israel is not blameless. Hamas is not blameless either.
Either we (the u.s.) remove ourselves completely from that conflict. Or we must be fair in assessing blame for all parties involved.
Instead i see American politicains (reminiscent of ww2 era) equating the blind protection of israel to ww2esque principles. Until Palestine is considered equal the fighting will not stop.
They are cousins (Hamas and israel). Why is America playing favorites? End the violence bring the troops home. Send in social workers and get the "capulets and montesques" to work together.
Its a universal theme as old as humanity. Force them to be mature adults. The world needs to say we are done with them acting like children. Maybe blockade both parties? Until. . .

@exchrist
9/11?
Because Israel is a Democracy in the middle of Theocratic dictatorships?
Because Hamas is a terror organization that takes its orders from Iran?
We tried. Study your history. The people of Palestine rejected the offers from Israel and the US and embraced Hamas. They made their choice.
I agree, Israel is not blameless in this conflict. But again, take a look around at the world. Do you see a lot of sympathy and understanding for Israel's dilemma? They are the ONLY Jewish country in the world. They've been attacked almost every day since they formed the country.
We are backing the rational actor in an ugly situation.

@SumKindaMunster i think i get it but if the parties involved arent going to maintain peaceful relations then the rest of the world would do best to let them duke it out. Cage match maybe? Fight club. Street fights. Foreign entities supplying weapons clearly hasnt helped.
I like the time share idea.
Regardless its not Americas concern. its a domestic dispute among cousins.
Best option leave them be.
Then charge the victor with hate crimes and domestic violences? Maybe see how they do in paternity court or on the steve wilkos show?

@SumKindaMunster 9\11 was 20+ years ago and has nothing to do with isreal\ palestine now. If you really want to assign blame for 9\11 look at the financial trading just prior to the attack. Obviously domestic (u.s.) players knew it was about to happen. Also war spending from militaristic politicains is deeply entrenched in American policy. So the excuse to perpetuate that was a bit too convenient.
Furthermore a bunch of bomb sniffing dogs were removed from the premises and bombs were planted in the building only a few days prior. Watch the video of the buildings' collspse. That was a planned demolision. Obviously.
Used as a "pearl Harbor" moment to rush America into war.
Get some new material. Im not buying it.

@SumKindaMunster id watch that Trump v Hamas? Putin x treaudo?
SumKindaMunster · 51-55, M
@exchrist Jeez, you are a mercurial dude. I thought we had reached a consensus.
I mention 9/11 because the consequences of what America did in the War on Terror is now coming home to roost as we try to settle this conflict.
We aren't seen as neutral arbiters anymore, and it hurt our ability to get consensus and trust from Middle Eastern countries after we attacked a whole bunch of them.
