He dislikes the people they dislike, he holds the bigotry and prejudices that they hold, and they believe he will hurt the people they see as enemies.
The way things are working out, he’s harming a lot of them, as well. But having cast their lot with him, many are loathe to admit they may’ve made a huge mistake.
