Good ol brain worm…

Autism exists because of insurance companies. Diagnose a kid with adhd, and they don’t get squat. Put them on the spectrum, and suddenly insurance pays for all kinds of services. Basically, you could diagnose anh kid these days as autistic given the breadth of the spectrum.
