Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) or the Iran Nuke deal between Iran and the P5+1 (the five permanent members of the United Nations S.C.—China, France, Russia, the U.K., U.S.—plus Germany) took effect on 20 January 2016.

Trump cancelled when he took office at the behest of Netanyahu.
Trump now wants to negotiate an agreement to prevent Iran from producing a Nuke.
What he's proposing is essentially the JCPOA. Except that since cancelling it, Iran is now on the verge of producing a nuke. In addition to having pushed Iran into a position of causing the October 7th attacks on Israel and the massive humanitarian disaster in Gaza.
If this deal is done, he's going to be asking for a Nobel.
But, it was already done under Obama.
