He should have been convicted at least one of the two prior times, imo.
Having said that, I'd rather not have him get impeached again until there's at least a chance of a semi-fair trial in the Senate, and I dont think we're there yet, if we ever will be.
Remember the idiotic excuses last time? This time, they'll probably argue that he can't be convicted of a high crime or misdemeanor because he's immune.
Does it make any sense? No, but it'll fly with MAGA folks, and until proven otherwise, that's enough to keep Senators from living up to their oaths.

@MistyCee the illegal deportations, firings and tarrifs? Congesss was supposed to have a role in putting on tarrifs. Why the Dems do nothing is no mystery. Gahead.
@Roundandroundwego You know that saying, if you shoot at the King, you'd better not miss? He's already been shot at multiple times.
It'd be nice if Trump and the entire GOP in Congress didn't treat Trump like a King, but SCOTUS gave him more status than King George, and he's actively, if ineptly, trying to use the Crown's might to get even with anyone who is, or was, in his way.
I don't really want the House to impeach again and let the Senate keep him in office, and while I appreciate the nobility of tilting at Windmills, if there's limited energy and troops available, I'd rather not charge a moated and well defended wall.

@MistyCee really, I said gahead because I meant it - proceed cliff wise, somnolently, gahead.
@Roundandroundwego Yeah, I got that, but had a rant to post, not specifically at you.
In addition to waiting to see how the voters react to the Trump Show, I'm also watching SCOTUS and Roberts. They stepped away out there with Immunity and Trump's performance as a monarch so far has been not only abusive of any presumption of regularity or good faith execution of his duties, but also pretty dismal.
I think it's fair to say that Taney may look good in the history books compared to this bunch, unless of course, Trumpists write them. It seems pretty naive to think that Roberts doesn't realize he may have made some really bad calls earlier in this game that he might want to make up for.
