@joe438 In his first term in 2017 Trump passed a huge tax cut for billionaires. Then the Republicans all said how Social Security, Medicare and the Affordable Care Act were increasing the federal deficit and have to be cut.

@badminton the tax cuts applied to everyone. Most people in the median household range saw their taxes decreased from roughly 15% down to 12 and that 3% makes a big difference the decreases at the higher end of the range or less so most of the decrease is actually went to the middle class, not to the billionaires. But you have to remember is that somebody who’s paying millions of dollars in taxes is going to get a better benefit from a cut than people who don’t. I certainly don’t make a massive amount of money, but I certainly did have a little more left over at the end of each paycheck.

With the crazy inflation under Joe Biden’s administration, that extra left over really didn’t go very far at all
