Honestly I didn't think the whole "black jobs" thing from Trump was weird.
If a democrat said it, I feel like we'd all just interpret it as "a job held by a black person." IDK, maybe I have the trump interpreter virus now.

Nah man, I feel you. Lately I have been somewhat alarmed to find myself looking at the full context of stuff he says people get upset about and, while I agree it's bad, I can also understand how from a MAGAt perspective the liberals are blowing it out of proportion.
Like, when he said, "you won't have to vote in 4 years" if he wins because he will "fix everything" is a good example. What he said is fucking chilling but the way MAGAts see/spin it, we are taking him out of context and what he was saying is that things will be running so well it the people (christians) he was addressing wouldn't have such urgency to vote next time.

@Doomflower Honestly I'm much more friendly towards the uncharitable interpretation there just because the charitable interpretation is basically incoherent. Like, no matter how good things get in a democracy, you still have to vote in 4 years, right? Even if things really are fixed. I think the idea of winning so hard you never have to win again is an inherently autocratic one.
That said, I'm obviously biased by the fact that I already think he's a wannabe dictator lol.
