I know it was staged, but she still makes good points here.

I believe all these quotes are from 2016, and they're all valid; Trump said all this stuff.

They're only conspiracy theories if they disagree with my world view

There we are, changed the post for you.
@BohemianBabe Well I guess there's always misunderstandings.

Your country's Stephen Anderson goes about said social issues in a very insensitive way and also wants social policies to be law, this does not look like Evangelical Christianity in most other countries.
@BritishFailedAesthetic Evangelical Christianity in America is extremely different than it is in Europe. Seriously, the difference between Mainline Protestants and American Evangelicals is that the latter want a fascist Theocracy.

Bee tee dubs, just a note on a similar theme here, ya know that JD Vance character that Trump picked to be his veep? He's a Trad Cath. If you're not familiar with them, and I'm sorry you now have to be, Trad Caths (short for "Traditional Catholics") are Nazis who want America and Europe to be one giant Catholic Theocracy. They basically want to go back to the Middle Ages. They see the Jews as the enemy, but they also hate Protestants.

Now Protestants have a majority in both the Republican Party and America overall. So Vance isn't going to start attacking Protestants, he still needs to use them. However, at the rate things are moving, eventually the GOP and America will both have a Catholic majority. And the Trad Cath movement is growing really fast, while the Republicans don't have a platform outside of Donald Trump worship. What this all means is that eventually Trumpism is going to be replaced by Trad Cath Nazism. That's bad news for me, but it's also bad news for Protestants.

Fascism always eats its own, there are no winners when a movement is based on finding new "enemies."
@BohemianBabe Yes, Christianity doesn't teach to enforce Christian beliefs on social issues into law.

You're sure it was staged? And you're going to lean in to the look at me ramblings of an arrogant young girl who's probably only old enough to have voted once? Really?
@Ynotisay What did she say that was wrong?
Ynotisay · M
@BohemianBabe Ok. An example. I'll just go with the first bit of sophomoric ranting. In essence she said that. "Violence is already here and it's due in large part to Trump." Well, to me it looks like her world view only goes about ten years. All she sees is what's in her orbit. Because she's arrogant. She doesn't know or care about that past. And the not so distant past at that.

The country has been far more violent than it is now. To think otherwise is foolish. As is not acknowledging it. The rest of it was just performance. Look at me faux-outrage. A dime a dozen. Not interested.

I got curious and looked in to her. NOT far away from what I thought. Especially her upbringing and education. She didn't struggle growing up and Feminist Theory was her lane in college. She's a standup comedian, who calls herself a journalist, vying for her niche in the crowded landscape of online political clicks.

Sorry dude but all that is deal-breaker as far as taking seriously. Her and ALL the others out there. I want to learn. This woman will never teach me anything. That's not what she does. Appeals to some. Not to me. Different strokes.

Dude, come on. She's not saying there was never political violence before Trump. She's saying Trump made it mainstream, which is completely true. Conservatives used to broadly condemn calls for violence. Today, the extremist fringe isn't the far Right anymore, it's become the mainstream Right.

After 1/6, Republicans tried to take a step back. They embraced Ron DeSantis, hoping for a return to normalcy. But because the party is still ruled by Trump, they couldn't commit to that. So now they're saying the 1/6 rioters are political prisoners that should be pardoned. Terrorism is mainstream now.

Welp, there ya go. She's wrong about Trump because she's against the patriarchy. Got me there. 😆

This kinda sums up the modern Right. Y'all don't want to learn. You're in a cult.
Personally, I disagree with some of the things she says. She believes America still has systemic White Supremacy. I think she's wrong about that. But I would never say she's wrong because something something feminist theories. I actually care about evidence and reality.
