The thing is, this is light years ahead of Trump coming down the escalator to a paid crowd.

And my guess is, this stunt WILL get Trump a few black voters, and will help assuage even more white Fox viewers.

It's interesting that the guy says this is not authentic because it's staged. The flip side of that is, it's authentically Trump because it is staged.

Who doubts that Trump loves being loved? And who cares that he pays people to pretend to love him?

I'm sure this woman is no different than most Trump supporters, looking to get something in exchange for her fealty.

And, what's wrong with that?

@MistyCee From her point of view, it’s deceptive, but it’s a Quad Indicted lie. If he really wants to influence black voters or any group then he should be able to point to legislation he and the Republican Party passed that benefits them—like he does with the billionaires he passed huge tax cuts for. Except, as Congressman Buck pointed out, there is nothing they’ve done.
@KunsanVeteran This is a photo opp, staged like the naturalization ceremony or the paper towel throwing thing, though. It's a different beast entirely than giving a speech and talking about policies.

All politicians do it, like stop for a cheeseburger at the Varsity in Atlanta, or for a po-boy in New Orleans. But the Trump campaign generally does this kind of thing better than most.

Think about it. A Chick Fila restaurant filled with friendly black folks in the South. It rings all kinds of bells, and doesnt offend anyone like, say talking about government spending, DEI, etc, might.

I get that it's fake and also free advertising for Chick Fila, but it's easy, and it's getting the buzz he wants.
@MistyCee He was recently at Chick Fila, promised food for everyone and walked out without paying. That's his signature move.
