Follow the link for a copy of the actual opinion. Needless to say, Trump has to appeal, but hopefully New York State law will require him to post security to do so.

@MistyCee The trial that starts Monday will be to decide what he owes in damages. Wouldn't he have to put the full amount of damages (possibly as high as $250 million in this case) in escrow to appeal?

OUCH!! That's gotta hurt!!!
From your link:
Engoron imposed sanctions in Tuesday's ruling: He canceled New York business certificates for Trump and the other defendants, which include two of his adult children, and gave them 10 days to “recommend the names of no more than three potential independent receivers to manage the dissolution of the canceled LLCs.”

@ElwoodBlues I really don't know what NY law is with regard to supersedeas bonds, but it's worth noting that the injunctive relief relating to control of the businesses may well cause him far more damage than just the damages sought.
I could see him not challenging the liability ruling until after the damages trial is held, but that seems like a pretty crippling ruling appointing liquidators for dissolution and dissolving certificates. If he didn't have control of his businesses, what can he use to post security?

Sell some of those overseas properties he owns perhaps? He should never have had all those conflicts of interest in the first place!

@MistyCee Florida would also receive taxes for income. Being he was convicted of fraud, I would think Florida would also follow suit.
@Livingwell I don't see that happening. Florida has kind of been a haven for tax dodgers from New York for awhile for one thing. For another, the political scene seems almost uniquely corrupt and Trumpesque.
