Despondent for a little while, most likely. Then they will latch onto another wannabe dictator like DeSantis, almost surely.

@Piper Only at the hypocrisy. But the double standards exhibited here are not surprising at all. Nothing new. Neither are the subsequent DENIALS. Very entertaining, in fact, because of the predictability.
I only mentioned ONE who wished so called "Trump people" to die along with Trump. Just one. Had I said anything remotely like that, you would have thought me the world's worst person and let me know about it in spades. But I understand. As long as it is about Trump or "Trump people" dying, it's OK to let it slide.

There will be a conspiracy theory that he was poisoned by the secret service and some other nutjob will rise to carry on his legacy.
windinhishair · 70-79, M
I think they will continue their religious beliefs in his divinity and make shrines to their Dear Leader where they can go worship him in perpetuity.
😲 "All"? Kind of a sweeping generalization there, isn't it? Painting with a broad brush, isn't it? Putting people in a neat little box, aren't you?
All crimes of the century when a non liberal does it. Shame shame shame.

Trump, to his followers, is the stuff of legend.
A perfect man who does perfect things, who never lies and does what he does only for the good of the people.
This is how Gods are made.
So you pose a really interesting question, I think we have to wait til that time comes for the answer.

@SW-User I'd do her.

@Atlotto She is a pretty woman. Talented as hell, too.

It does seem to be a personality cult fixated on him, rather than any platform or set of ideas. So probably yes.

Trump people as In supporters or haters? Cause he has both.

SW-User
@whowasthatmaskedman Yes, but I meant specifically Trump “ haters”, people who don’t like him at all.
And about the question, @BlueVeins , if you meant his supporters, which I suspect you did: no; they will still venerate him even after he dies.

@SW-User Yes, I meant Trump supporters.

@SW-User In that case, I dont hate Trump. He is a human oddity. A narcissist, so no amount of hate anyone has for him will effect him. But he is a lightening rod for those who feel hard done by or agrieved with what they have in life. Or those who feel that by association they will accumulate material wealth as he has done. 😷

No, they'll claim he ascended!

I do not know but the answer to that question is in the culture of American churches.
If you took Trump people, pro-Trump, Maga and change it to Christians and not change the meaning of the words in your idea or in other similar questions.
I think the answer to what got Trumpeters engaged, which is intimately tied to if how disengaged,, with Trump's ideals the eventual answer will be found in the Churches of America. However as someone divorced from that culture I don't know either.

whowasthatmaskedman · 70-79, MVIP

BlueVeins · 26-30
@whowasthatmaskedman Well, he still has time!

Zeusdelight · 61-69, M

No I'm no fan of Trump, but I do believe these trials are conveniently taking place this close to election time
What are you talking about? The next Presidential election is over a year away, and Trump & his allies have been using delaying tactics this entire time.
Most of the mainstream media is biased to the left and even some of the fact checkers that the left uses are biased to the left.
Soooo are we just not counting talk radio then?
Others in the Democratic party is guilty of similar crimes
Objectively not true. The Democrats haven't done anything remotely approaching the fake electors scheme in particular. The documents case was relatively similar in some ways, but the facts of the case for Trump set his crimes head and shoulders above Clintons', in terms of both legal and moral considerations. Also, even pro-Democrat media sources attacked her over that.
That said, I do think hoping that Republicans die is in poor taste.

Yes and no. These types grow easily bored and have short attention spans. On the other hand they are fear and victimhood driven so there neurosis always sit simmering ready to be reignited. Rememeber this political segement is just the Reaganites remempowered. They were largely inactive or inconsequential for a bit, but once the right tragedies and rhetoric comes around there they are again enmasse all fired up to rabble, rabble, rabble.
It's also worth noting that these logical fallacy politics of the right about indivdualism and responsibility play right into the religious fundinentalists types who are convinced of predestined greatness, B/W battles of good and evil, and a lack of real responsibilty in the name of a "God's will". These ideas play all to well of these "promised land" and prophecy numbskulls. So it can be a real challenge to get them to think pragamatically over emotionally.
