Musk claims Witchcraft should be legal under the First Amendment. (I figured everyone could use a laugh about just how crazy the world has become......You're all Welcome..)馃樂 As an afterthought,I am putting in a poll. Show of hands all those who just for a second thought this might be true..

@SumKindaMunster And good on you for failing to see the funny side of a light hearted jest. (And dont we all need a laugh this Christmas? I know I do..) Musks antics with Twitter really are his business. Its his money after all. But the idea of his next move being to buy out a failed state isnt too far from possibility.. As for Donald.. His "Major Announcement" turns out to be his latest fund raising scam, picturing him with an actual body. The man parodies himself. I dont need to.. I hope Trump supporters buy up all his "limited release" ecards. I really do. Because you just know if there is demand, he will oversell until the cows come home and thats more fraud charges down the line. But as I did go to the trouble to point out in my post. Trump wasnt the subject. Nor was Musk.. It was the insanity of the world generally right now. Have a side order of Kanye. and entre of Britains woes and its revolving door Prime Ministers. I cant wait to see dessert, when the Republicans take control of the US congress. "People be CRAZY!!" Now have a merry Christmas and be safe.馃樂
@SumKindaMunster An interesting point. But it could also be that my opinions are hard wired to the actual numbers backing up the US economy and its place in the world and the actions or inactions the nations (and world) leaders are taking. In my opinion, Musk, Trump and even the Jan 6 people (on both sides) are a side show. And everyone is walking by "Nothing to see here" The actual numbers dont lie and no one is doing anything to change them.. So I see no reason to shift my views.馃樂

I suppose. Kind of an awkward statement...your opinions are hard wired to the actual numbers backing up the US economy? What does that mean?
@SumKindaMunster It means that my views relate to Americas economic actions in the country, to placate the various interest groups. (Taxes, Subsidies and social policy) and how that reflects to the budget, GDP and interest rates etc.. And how the country funds its purchases of imports (exports are not so great these days) and how they are paid for and how that links to poliotical influence and foreign policy. (Some might call it corruption. But thats an ugly word for some diplomatically expedient deals.) It has long been my belief that America is going down the crapper externally and that successive administrations keep moving the deck chairs locally and pretending the ship isnt sinking.馃樂

I'm aware.
My opinion is that you engage in confirmation bias, look for things that confirm what you already believe, and disregard things that don't agree with what you already believe.
Well you are in good company I suppose.
Many, many, MANY people, economists, political scientists, pundits, and politicians have made careers out of predicting America's decline. Born and raised in this country and I can assure you there have been many an existential threat to America that people like you believe, and secretly hope, will be our undoing. Yet here we still are.
