I Think Donald John Trump, Is A Moron

Mark my words... Trump will NOT make America Great again.. just watch... see if i am right. All he will do, all he can do is further alienate America from the rest of the world..but what do you expect if you vote in a narcissistic idiot who's campaign was based on insulting everyone and inciting hatred.. I was no Hilary fan but most of Trump's campaign was based on whipping up hatred and racism.. I truly fear for America - things weren't great there but this will just create a whole new bunch of problems.. I don't think many Americans realise how precarious is America's position.. how most of the rest of the world feel about America.. Americans think they are great and they truly don't know and don't want to know differently..

Personally I've always loved Americans... well what I thought of as most Americans - I know them to be sane, reasonable, reasoning people who, for the most part hate the bad things, the racism etc. But from this election it seems that MOST Americans have voted for Trump... so all I can think is that MOST Americans are of the Trump crazies kind :( Perhaps i was too optimistic.. and I should remember this is a nation who voted for president RAT-GUN and the utter idiot Bush who we all saw regularly on TV making messed up speeches and making a fool of himself.. he was relatively harmless though.. we all just laughed at him and felt sorry for America having such a poor president to represent them...

Trump is a whole new ball game.. this insecure man with no class, no style and no manners will actively damage America...and that Americans couldn't see this coming makes me think most really aren't that bright :(

It's not like we here are perfect, we sure aren't but no one here thought Trump was any good, we discussed and debated and smiled wryly.. but we hoped America wasnt that dumb to let him win...

I think i need to take some time out from here.. i know so many Trump crazies hang out here and there are too many of a certain kind that go with that territory; women hating, racist goons who's only answer to everything is to insult and belittle..

I think I will let some dust settle.. wait for Americans to really start to see the result of their choice...

May heaven or whatever is in charge of fate help America.. it's gonna need it

Certainly there have been some harsh and insulting words exchanged in this discussion which don't further anyone's understanding.
I for one support the President-Elect and feel that Ms Adaydreambeliever has on this one occasion gotten things terribly wrong.
But rather than attempt a full-bore refutation, as I have gotten somewhat lazy in retirement, let me make one point. That same retirement has afforded me the time to watch the senate hearings on the Cabinet nominees. They are of very high caliber and distinction and provide hope that we will recover from the decline in the country of the last eight years.

The decline you speak of started in 2001. I think you are stupid if you think Obama was worse than Bush. I live in the South. And the economy here is better than it was 8 years ago.

After the Great Recession (of which Barney Frank-Dem from Massachusetts- was the architect by fostering irresponsible home lending policies), the economy should have grown 3-4 percent a year just based on market forces and animal spirits. Instead it grew at 1.7 % over 8 years due to overregulation and the current president's disdain for working with Congress). Wage and salary income remained stagnant.

Thank you for your gracious apology for the intemperate 'stupid' remark.
11 and 1/2 million jobs added is pretty anemic considering the depths of the Great Recession. There should have been between at least 50% more added just due to rebound from such an event.
As mentioned previously, the wage growth has been nearly stagnant in real terms.
Additionally, many of those jobs are part-time.
Worse is the labor participation rate: about 63%.
Do me a favor, Mr. Zonuss. Let's meet in a year and see how the "moron's" administration and policies so for the economy.

@laotzu92: profits didn't remain stagnant for the top 10 percent did they. Every since the Regan tax change the predictable happened the wealthy made out very well and the middle class and poor have dropped. They now have the money to buy the media and the both sides of the political field and have done it. We have no true free press so you have never seen the middle class recover since Regan although the wealthy have done very well.

@laotzu92 Interesting read, I'd take issue with your feeling I have got things wrong, or was it terribly wrong.. I despise the man, and almost everything I said was based on that.. I didn't talk about his policies, (tho we hear he hasn't kept any of those promises) i talked about him.. He IS vile, he IS ill-mannered, he has NO class.. What do I base this on? Is it heresay, is it fake news? NO it's based on HIM, his words, his actions, his behaviour.. and so really you just can't argue with that.. his behaviour is deplorable, he has no class, none, his has less than zero diplomatic prowess.. all this isn't playing politics debating his policies, it's looking at what's in front of us.. The part about not making America great again, was opinion, or call it an educated guess.. Voting in a proven liar, a man who has had so many bancrupcies, who is BARELY literate - well it doesn't take a genius to work out that he's hardly going to have the skills to make America great... in fact he's far too busy tweeting out of his... and calling everyone else sh*thole countries... I am happy to be judged on the result and impact of this idiot.

@Adaydreambeliever I'll grant you that he isn't suave. But I stand by my remarks of 15 months ago. The country is prospering and Trump IS keeping his campaign promises. And public approval is growing.
