I Hate Donald Trump

I don't know Trump, not personally anyway. I know only what he says and does, and 99% of it is objectionable in the extreme. What I hate, if that's the proper word, is how he has given voice to the xenophobic population of our country, of how he has divided our country as never before.

People with small, bitter/hateful, self-serving minds have flooded to his cause, and much to my chagrin, there seems to be many of them. Many of these people have lived small lives. Never traveled, never seen what is on the other side of their city/community, much less their state or country. They simply live and think small. They have no notion for anything not them. Worse, they fear and hate anything not them, and to my way of thinking, that is 180 degrees out and totally inconsistent with what we are, or have espoused our country to be. It goes against our founding principles, against what I and many before me fought for.

Worse yet is that there are large numbers of people who follow and support him who have not lived small lives. These people are knowingly destroying our country with their greed, the self-serving, privileged actions and rhetoric.

It is a time I thought I would never see. I am ashamed of us as a country; but proud to stand against Trump and his followers, and ever will be. Time, reason and decency will prevail, of that I am certain. Until then I stand opposed to this man and his followers, totally, absolutely, and without equivocation.

I could go on and on, but I suspect you get what my thoughts are.

It's politics. It's not like it isn't the same with any other politician. Unfortunately this last election was a race without many options. Trump is just the better choice as far as basic economic issues go and the rampant spending of Obama and Bush needed trimming. Better a guy that's obnoxious but does a decent job than someone voted in because they have a vagina.

@PennyHenny ehhh yes and no, just because Trump is dumb and the government can take advantage of him, dosent mean he needs to be in political power and represent the entire country. I think Trump winning shows how flawed America is.

@veoh112 Trump might be an idiot with how he presents himself but he's far from dumb. If he was another yokel from the beanpatch then EVERYONE would be a multi billionaire. He's far smarter than people want to believe or admit, just not with public speaking. And he was voted in by a populace that wanted him there which shows that the system isn't flawed at all. The only real flaw was those who didn't want him in spending their time campaigning against him but not actually showing up on voting day to cast their own votes. Plus the good amount of people that just figured he wouldn't get elected so they didn't bother to vote thinking it folly.

But either way, to present any of the non Trump options as if they're saviors of modern society....come on.

@PennyHenny very true ... and though trump is brash , he’s also a hard ass and was the ONLY candidate that could have defeated the ANNOITED ONE (Clinton)/DNC/media machine .

@PennyHenny When he said that he dose not believe in global warming when you learn that in middle school. Lets not forgot that hilarious small loan of a million dollars meme. Yah cause intelligent people say that. Have you not heard of your relatives giving you money, its what people from the older times used to do. Have you not heard of Paris Hilton or anyone else who had relatives give them money. He was voted in because he was trying to appeal to the republican side and of course they ate his bigotry up and his idea of helping them, which is funny because he didnt even help them to begin with that he said he was gonna do. Actually he did not win the popular vote it was Hilary.

I agree a lot of the people should've voted agisnt him, but you could still bring the point up that the majority of people who vote are white republican males and there are a lot of factors because of this.

@TexChik I think a good part of it was this was a VERY polarized partyline type of election year. And moderates and the undecided gave it far more time and thought than it seems they usually do, knowing how close it might turn out. When the rain fell democrats and further left leaning found that the usual party rhetoric wasn't enough to sway those who don't play by partyline politics.

I have to admit, if I had been old enough to vote this election then I would have gone for Trump myself. I'm not a fan but when It comes down to it the back and forth bullshit is just bullshit: It's the ability to put the money where the mouth is and make things happen in the end that's important.
PennyHenny · F
@veoh112 White republican males, huh? Because almost everyone I know that voted for him were pacific island and nisei libertarian and democrat women.

You're pushing images and attitudes that are a huge example of why dyed in the wool democrats jumped ship in an unexpected number.

Enough with the namecalling an turd slinging. It's a business position. Hilary wasn't the one for the position. And if you and the legions of partyticians keep up this childish way of looking at political policy then you're going to find another wave of people saying goodbye to the left.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
@PennyHenny Everyone you know.... even if that did happen theres reasons why they voted for him and they didn't even get it lol. Also I cant understand what you are saying are you talking about war? We give it a lot of time and thought because that what you should do when you give someone power. And the reason why millennials are commenting on it is because we have access to it with the internet so we are able to see what they are saying during the debates.

Yes its important to speak your mind which is what we are doing right now hmmmmm. I am not for hilary I am for Bernie who was actually intellectual enough to be considered a president. I do not think I am being childish to political parties, I know allow about political parties and I do not think the left are the ones who are going to soon die out hopefully.
PennyHenny · F
@veoh112 Everyone has a reason for voting and supporting politicians the way they do. But how about you don't pretend you know the mind of people you don't even know, sweet lilikoi.

None of the heads of this beast are going to die off any time soon. They're just going to roar and fight among each other as usual.

I couldn't stand behind Bernie for the fact of simple econonomics. Good ideas to some degree but plenty of good ideas go bad when there's nothing there to back it up.

Personally, I was a Johnson/Weld girl myself.
veoh112 · 22-25, F
Everyone does have a reason for voting obviously. And those reasons are apart of what believe in which is why us leftist disagree with you and mostly dislike them. Well exactly they are not going to die off because they are still in power, especially since Trump has won the electoral vote unfortunately. Which you can also say is fueling the capitalism.

I think there is more to back up with what Bernie believe in then anything compared to what Hilary or Trump has said. If you actually do your research about Bernie and listen to more of his talks hes is extremely intelligent and by far more Intelligent than Trump, but at the end of the day it is due to socio economics.
