If you were Nigerian who would you vote for?
The first was in the military and took over government in 1983 because according to him the corruption levels in govt were too much for him to bear. His own dictatorship was toppled four years later and after retiring he rebranded himself as a politician. He has a reputation for being extremely religious (he's a Muslim) and has "integrity", but his tendency to restrict freedoms is a big concern.
The second was vice president from 1999-2007 and has a reputation as a THIEF, the United States government under George Bush banned him from entering the US because he got caught smuggling millions of stolen funds unto the US with the help of a US Congressman from Louisiana (who is currently in jail). A report called "keeping foreign corruption out of the United States" (which you can google) was released a few gears ago where he has a whole chapter dedicated to him as he's been involved in so many corrupt deals. Recently he paid $1.1 million through a lobbying firm that had something to do with Trump to let him go to the US and not be arrested for his crimes under some sort of "diplomatic immunity".
This, my friends, is the country called Nigeria.
The sad things is that there are about 70 other candidates but they don't have an established party structure. We run a two party system similar to the one in the US, other political parties might have much better alternatives but none of them are famous enough.
I'm really not interested in voting, to be honest.
