I Support Barack Obama For President
In Answer To...Obama For President of the World...
Listen up folkes...
We are so very blessed to live in a country that most of the world still looks up to even after our many failures of late.
When you are a world power you have real world responsibilities. One of which is electing a president that can work with the other countries of the world in a positive way. You folkes who say it is not your duty to worry about the other countries in this world are living back in the 1920s' when it comes to electing a president.
The world has allowed America the freedom to walk into other peoples' countries and make corrections because at one time we were a country run by laws not by men. We did the right thing in most of those countries and the world trusted us to do so. Not anymore, though. And... we know why. For those of you who did not get this the first time...here it is again.
Every country in the world knew that we entered Iraq illegally. Even Gen Colin Powell stated we went to war because of faulty reports of weapons of mass destruction. We haven't even found a box of firecrackers, yet! We lost a lot of face in the world because of that invasion.
Tony Blair of England lost his seat as Prime Minister because he backed Bush Jr in Iraq. The majority of the English people did not agree with him, Bush Jr, or the war and most countries across the pond were against that war.
Why did we go into Iraq? Well here it is. Back in 1950/60's we had a big stake in the oil wells of Iran, we called it the Gulf. We made a deal with the Iranians to sell their refined oil on the world markets for $10 a barrel. In the late 1960s' and early 1970s' the Iranians found out that American business men were selling the oil for $35 to $45 a barrel and Iranians were not receiving any of that profit.
What happened next was horrible. The Iaytolah became the Iranian leader at that time. He nationalized the oil fields, killed the American business men, and sent the Shah of Iran(the American oil middleman) to America to Cleveland, Ohio @ the Cleveland Clinic with his life and his family intact. He threatened to blow up the oil fields with the most powerful nuclear bombs available and promised that we would not be able to get close to Iranian oil fields for at least 500 years.
The Americans wanted to make sure the Gulf did not fall into the hands of the communists at that time and since they were no longer able to deal directly with Iran they made a deal with Saddam Hussien of Iraq.
Saddam was not a good man but he went against his fellow Arabs, his country, and his religion to back the American military on Islamic soil namely Iraq. Why ? because we promised him control of Kuwait.(it used to be part of Iraq for thousands of years before the British conquered) Then after many years the Iaytolah died and Saddam requested that we keep our part of the bargain. We couldn't because we don't control Kuwait. We lied to get his assistance and when the bill came due we could not pay up.
Saddam decided to take what he had been promised to him and declared war on Kuwait. America had no choice but to defend Kuwait. But we said that Saddam was a crazy man trying to take over the world. Israel tried to stop him to keep America out of it and Saddam made them targets, too! But, if Saddam was really trying to take over the world why did he choose one of the smallest countries in the world (Kuwait) to take over?
This is the reason why who we pick to be president is so important to the world. It is also the reason why other countries are very interested in what Americans do & say, and who we elect as president. We have direct power over their finances, peace, and future whether we know it or not. So, lets' not be too quick to tell other nations or their people to but out of our elections. With great power comes great responsibility. Lets' act our ages not our shoe sizes.
We have to vote for Obama not just for ourselves but also for the world! He is the only candidate who will not cause more problems than we already have. And, whatever problems come up we can trust him to have a level educated head to face those problems. He will use every piece of information at his fingertips and every brain surrounding him to make the best decision. Leave the mavericks at the gaming tables. We need a president the other countries cannot read, you know ... a poker face, but one that we can trust to come with best solution for all concerned.
