I Support Barack Obama For President

Obama Support...
I support him because not to do so is just plain suicide!
When Bush, Jr. came to power the budget was balanced with a surplus of billions! Now we are running a deficit of 5 trillion dollars every year. I don't even know what that means, but I know I don't want Americans including myself to have to pay that sum, anymore.
We have no jobs (thanks to Regan), they are being shipped over seas daily, no healthcare, no industry, only a service infrastructure. But we do have high energy costs with no real plan to get above it, non-exsistent health care for most Americans, and very few unions with real strength. We rank as one of the lowest nations in the world for Education.
McCain has voted 90% with Bush for the last 8 eight years, even more than most other Republicans by his own admission. And, he wants us to believe he is all of a sudden going to change Washington??? Really, Bushs' sidekick is going to bring change??? Yeah, right show me something else he can do, like walk the water like Jesus.
Then, he insults most of our female Democrats by thinking that because Palin is female, she will get my vote, Please! She is no Hillary Clinton and she would never get my vote. Hillary has more class and strength in her baby toe than Palin has in her whole pale lipstick body! I have no choice but to vote for Obama and support him I will because we have to get the Republicans out of power NOW. Too much is at stake here in America. We need the true change, the working change, and the tough change that Obama has already put before us chapter and verse on his website. Go check it out!!!
I want my America back. Not the America the whole world hates. We Americans can go nowhere in the world without fear of being abducted as long as the Republicans are in office. Obama will and has let the world know that if he is elected this will be the America the world once loved and trusted. We will be tough but we will be lawful and follow the laws regarding detainment and prisoner treatment. Ugh, such a disgrace! Then we will truly be #1 in the world, again. I pray everyday for this!
Peace and Love to you all!
To the person who does not get that Bush started this war with the wrong country. Let me give you a little history. Also, watch the tape of when he was told the country was under attack, it took him almost 10 minutes to respond! Protect me what a laugh! Even the department he put in charge of terrorist investigations, Homeland Security had their computers stolen about 12 times in 6 years. I'm quite sure he cannot protect me. I salute the soldiers doing their jobs but I am awfully sorry it is for something like this great mistake.
Bill Clinton did not lose his mind and do the wrong thing. Also, we would never have had 9/11 if he had been in office. Bin Laden had been trying to take down the trade center as far back as the late 1970's & early 1980's kids. I know I was there. But did he not try when Clinton was in office! Back to the history lesson.

In the early 1970s' the Arabs found out that American business men were selling Arab refined oil on the market @ $35 to $50 a barrel and giving the Arabs only $10 a barrel, contrary to their contracts. The Iaytolah Kumani took power. He seized and nationalize the oil, killed the American business men, and sent the Shah of Iran to Cleveland, Oh where stayed at the Cleveland Clinic almost a year. Arabs do not take kindly to what they consider stealing. They will kill you for stealing.

We became friends with Saddam Hussien at this time and asked if we could put our Military might on his soil as we wanted get back control of Irans' oil fields. We promised this man Kuwait if he would do as we asked. He went against his countrymen and his religion for us because of his need to get back Kuwait which had been a part of Iraq for centuries until the British came. (The British had split Africa up pretty good when they were in power) Well when the Iaytolah died Saddam requested that America make good on its promise. Of course we couldn't because Kuwait does not belong to us. We just said that to get Saddam to help us. Bush 1 made out that Saddam was this evil person trying for world power and we had to stop him by war. We should have tried some other lie I guess, he was not a good man but we should not have lied to him. So Saddam tried to take what he had been promised by force and we stopped him.

Then comes Bush Jr. trying to pretend Saddam is part of the terrorists gangs so he could take Iraqs' oil, because now trying an Iranian oil takeover would start World War 6 at this point. Now we have no oil from either country. Now the new goverment of Iraq wants us out and we don't have any oil leases on contract. Wake up and smell the oil!

I don't mean the snobbish America. I mean the America that saved the Jews from concentration camps in World War II, who saved the French from occupation by Germany, and who saved us from the Japanese after Pearl Harbor was attacked. That is the America the world and I loved. I agree that everyone should give up their weapons and lets try to work it out peacefully, but could we get full cooperation? I really don"t think so.
I support Obama for President because I know where this country has been for the last 40 years and we need so great a change that it will take more than 1 term to do it, but I know Obama is up for the challenge.

Peace and Love to you all.

Livingwell, that's how I see it too! I pray that better heads will be victorious in November. And I pray the right side of the country will take defeat graciously, and not spend the next four years in rabid attack mode, like they were during Clinton's administration. This country needs an engaged citizenship of problem solvers, productive technocrats and inspired leaders. The last thing we need to do is take up valuble time and effort dealing with spiteful sore losers.

My... well.. at tisk of appearing borish, I agree we can not afford to have buisness as usual with another four years of republican administration.
economically, militarily, socially, globally...we can not afford to continue business as usual. And the McCain/Palin ticket is not just business as usual, it's let's ramp it up some more.

I think you're being unfair on Bush.. he was wrestling his way thru "my pet goat".. the guy isn't a reader... he's a decider.
He didn't even get to decide what he was going to read.
Imagine how that must feel.
