I wish more people would realize this, [i][b]and stop getting their information from the media.[/b][/i] The media [i]highly[/i] promotes hatred and separateness. Fear sells. And the media is all about follow-the-money, just like any other corporate entity.

People recording their random thoughts or rumors in their basements are NOT therefore inherently more trustworthy than trained professionals.

The mainstream media reports, and it has been used by Trump and others to divide, inflame hatred, etc. Social media has been WORSE than mainstream media, because of their AI trying to serve you more of what you want to hear so that they keep you on their site to increase the value of their advertising...

@PhoenixPhail IDK why people talk about "the media" as if it were one monolithic thing or some shit; all media outlets vary in political leanings and credibility. What's important is that you understand the biases of the sources you're looking at, and apply that knowledge when you figure out what to believe. Here's a good website that can help with that:
