Cash Will Be Obsolete Soon

[media=https://youtu.be/geJbloTLfLo?feature=shared]

The world is beginning to lean strongly toward cryptocurrency. It may soon become a cashless society and mandatory..... Trump may just lead this into play. (They will be throwing their silver and gold into the streets / meaning what is termed money will have no value)

Seriously? People have been predicting the "cashless society" since at least the 1980's haven't they? 😂
And you can't buy bread and milk using Bitcoin!

@Bel6EQUJ5 If you are sarcastically poking at me:: where did you read "people have predicting the cashless society since the 1980s."

I said :::::: United States which is THE GOVERNMENT _ GOVERNMENT _ has been FOCUS on a cashless society.

If Elon Musk can ALLOW biocoins, which is a form of cryptocurrency to PURCHASE his Tesla's _ time is at hand when cryptocurrency in all its forms, which is digital currency, will be used to purchase everything - including bread and milk - person. And the USA's is seriously considering it.

If you're making a statement
Credit cards / debit cards / internet shopping are CASHLESS TRANSACTIONS and in the 1980's those forms of transactions we're substantially less used..... ** Digital currency will replace paper and coin money _ that means cashless _ that means the predictions made since the 1980s are coming into effect in the 2020s.**
@SDavis Sure. And we'll be taking holidays on the moon, have atomic-powered vacuum cleaners, and there'll finally be world peace!
Oh, and AI will take all our jobs.
Nope, not happening. Not within my lifetime anyway.

@Bel6EQUJ5 With all due respect, I have some differences of opinion with you on these issues.

First, we largely have a cashless society already. I'm not sure about the situation were you live, but in the US, cash and check transactions are already only a very small fraction of financial transactions, even for small purchases replaced by ACH transfers, credit cards, Venmo, Paypal etc.

And as far as taking jobs, it depends on the sector. In the legal profession for example, I expect AI to replace a significant number of jobs. Why pay a young attorney hundreds of dollars an hour to search contracts for clauses and typos, or draft boilerplate clauses and documents that are essentially templates, when you can do it for minimal cost and better with AI. There are already seminars that not only discuss the ethical risks of using AI (hallucinations, fake cases, etc), but also discuss the ethical risks of not using AI, including lack of sufficient diligence and grossly-overcharging clients for services.

@Bel6EQUJ5 it's not happening but not in your lifetime - which is it?

And nowhere in my statement did I say when this would happen but it's in the making.

And if man has enough time and invents the technology he will try to terraform the moon or Mars.

An AIs are taking over jobs - guess you're blind to that too. And it started with the computer which is the first artificial intelligence, now everything is computerized and they are beginning to use the robotic systems more and more and more and letting go of people more and more and more. I come from a time when people had all of the jobs now.
And the statistics given are for the recent years job loss to computerized systems started back in the 1970s.

As far as world peace apparently you don't believe in Scripture but the Beast and his Antichrist ruling the One world system will bring about world peace, briefly.

Atomic powered vacuum cleaners government cares too much about that to let that out in the public.
@SDavis

Not within the foreseeable future.
And nowhere in my statement did I say when this would happen but it's in the making.
"In the making" means... what? You're assuming that past and current trends will simply continue as they are, which is merely an assumption, an assumption no reasonable person can seriously make. Cash is real, it's physical and supremely convenient, but electronic transactions are vulnerable to outages, fraud, and and other issues.
And if man has enough time and invents the technology he will try to terraform the moon or Mars.
That will never happen, because Mars and especially the moon, are far too small to be terraformed. Why do you think Mars has such a thin atmosphere, and the moon none at all?
An AIs are taking over jobs - guess you're blind to that too.
That's right, I don't, because AI isn't real. You're thinking of computerisation here, which is NOT the same thing as AI.

I'm not an unhinged, radical Protestant, no. Why did you people remove about a quarter of the Bible, the so-called Apocrypha (the Deuterocanonicals)? 🧐
SDavis · 56-60, F
@Bel6EQUJ5

Nor am I unhinged _ I am not radical _ definitely not a Protestant _ but dear person you look at me as you choose makes me no difference.

And who is you people? I'm not the one who decided what books to leave in and what books to take out my conception was hundreds of years later. And the Apocrypha is not a quarter of the Bible.
@SDavis If you're not a Protestant, then why did you mention "the Beast", "the Antichrist" and the "one world system"? Catholic and Orthodox Christians generally don't care about those sorts of things in the Bible.
SDavis · 56-60, F
@Bel6EQUJ5 I mentioned it because the beast and his Antichrist are spoken of in Revelation 13 and what they will do and Antichrist is spoken of in a few places in the New testament.

You say Catholics and Orthodox Christians generally don't care about those sort of things - well they should.
