@graphite Male privilege is to be viewed in it's relation to the privilege of women especially in regards to power, violence, gender specific treatments, sexual abuse, domestic violence...
Male privilege does not mean that men do not face certain specific challenges within society. Suicides are often related to men feeling coerced through gender roles to be the only provider and the "strong man" leading to depression with gender roles being born out of partriachal power structures. And millitary deaths are part of the US millitary complex that forces young men into it because it's the only way to afford an education.
