Did Barr just hitch onto the wrong pony?

Barr seems to have turned on Trump and is not only not supporting but seems to being relatively actively condemning some of Trump's activities of late.

Is he a traitor to Trumpism, or did he just misjudge Trump as being a perfect vehicle for his vision of a Supreme Executive?

I'm not really a Barr fan, nor a fan of one man rule, but I'm a little skeptical about dismissing him when he came to creating his ideal govermental form.

I get where he may have unhitched too early, if Trump pulls it off, but I kind of think DeSantis would hire him in a nano-second, and wouldn't be surprised if Trump tries to court/pressure him if he gets the chance.

Barr felt the same way when he was AG under Bush 41, and actively campaigned to be AG under Trump following Jeff Sessions. But even he realized that his own reputation was being tarnished under Trump and that the criminal behavior could come back on him. He still believes that a President is basically King and would jump at the chance to work with DeSantis or anyone else. He is a sick man willing to break the law to get it.

Barr is another trumper looking to clean up his past after filling it with bodily wastes.

Ya know...barr knows the ins and outs of the law. I think the laws he saw being broken, could not be circumvented. He jumped before he could be deemed culpable. Maybe.
I have zero respect for him. He would stretch just as far for any other republican potus. He may even be a great advisor as too how to be trump, without being trump.
