The highlight of my day…so far.
Stranger walking parallel to me in the parking lot: “You’re very beautiful. You know that, right?”
Didn’t even know he was there before he said that to me, but after I sincerely thanked him for making my day we proceeded to walk to our cars while discussing how our days were going and how we were both going into work this afternoon. Neither one of us were looking forward to it but we agreed that what mattered was how beautiful and kind the day was at that moment. It was a cool exchange that ended with him asking for my phone number, which instinctively made me laugh like a freakin’ teenager devoid of proper social skills. We…well, mostly me decided that we would just be friends who didn’t catch each other’s name or digits, but who ran into each other at the perfect moment to add a little more light to the day.
