Much like division by zero’s, you can’t assign a value without mathematical contradictions, so it’s undefined.

@DarkHeaven 👍 🙂
@maskedbandit 00 (0 to the zero power) is one of several indeterminate expressions in mathematics. It is not possible to assign a value to an indeterminate expression.

@DarkHeaven O.K. yeah. What? 👍I figured they were joking around. 🙂
@maskedbandit it’s just one of the wonky things around zero. Value of manipulating nothing is hard on math.
@DarkHeaven so all calculators are wrong?
@Zenbra often. yeah.
@Zenbra they can’t really work indefinite values.
@DarkHeaven the answer is 1
@Zenbra only on a calculator.
@DarkHeaven tell that to Oppenheimer or Albert Einstein

@Zenbra Let it go.🤣 👍 🙂
@maskedbandit so are you saying it's not 1? lol
@Zenbra

“Actually, the expression 00 (0 to the zero power) is one of several indeterminate expressions in mathematics. It is not possible to assign a value to an indeterminate expression.”

@DarkHeaven stop with the non sense

@Zenbra I'm out, I love you both. 🙂 👍
@Zenbra it’s not. but to be fair, you didn’t exactly give context until part way through this and context is hugely important.

“Zero to the power of zero, denoted by 00, is a mathematical expression that is either defined as 1 or left undefined, depending on context. In algebra and combinatorics, one typically defines 00 = 1. In mathematical analysis, the expression is sometimes left undefined. Computer programming languages and software also have differing ways of handling this expression.”

@DarkHeaven lol. I do calculations and I come across it everyday. If I didn't use it as defined I would not possible to find an answer..
@Zenbra again. context. for your work, it’s not. it’s one.
@DarkHeaven thats what I said..hahaha
@Zenbra I do rather enjoy your intellectual posts, though. Nice change from what’s usually standard fare here.
@DarkHeaven well thank you
@Zenbra have a wonderful Memorial Day, and thanks for the post. Be well.
@DarkHeaven you too. ❤️
