I needed to go get some gas in my beloved 17-year-old car and grab a couple of things at the store, but after taking the youngest to work the last thing I wanted to do was to drive another mile.
Instead I came home and made myself turkey burgers for the week, chocolate chip cookies, and some veggie rich pasta and garlic parm biscuits.
Laundry is done. Dining room table has been cleared of the clutter it gathers during the week. And the kitchen has been cleaned.
Now I can truly chill knowing I earned it thoroughly. And enjoy the spoils 😌
Oh! And while I was cooking, I peeked out the kitchen window to see my cactus that I’ve had for a few years has sprouted flowers 🥹
This little cactus is the baby of this one that I sadly lost one winter due to my being careless and too occupied with life stuff.
So to see this one make her momma proud…my gosh. Crazy thing is I was outside earlier and somehow missed it. But one little pause at the right angle while multitasking and I was gifted that smile of seeing those blooms of the new generation for the first time. What a day 🫶🏻
