Today has been a complete day of nope.

Rushing out of bed to start the day. Nope.

Getting out of bed before 11am. Nope.

Working out. Nope.

Doing anything remotely chore-like. Nope.

Cooking. Nope.

Returning phone calls from less savory folks. Nope.

And it was the mental and physical recharge I needed.

But anxiety has this way about sneaking in when you finally feel a bit of peace forcing me to add another nope to the list.

Only go to my bedroom when it’s time to sleep. Nope.

The off feeling my anxiety brings too hard sometimes resulted in me calling it an early night after socializing with the family for a while. They could tell when it really hit me and talked me into fostering the peace I needed. Everyone’s taken care of for the day and my little fluff ball of energy will join me later, but for now, this is where I will be spending the rest of my day of nope.

And I’m definitely not mad about it.

Sometimes those nopes just need a different day. When we know we can't, then it's best to just not try ... and to recharge, like you've wisely done.
That looks so relaxing. Enjoy this moment. Nopes can fade away.

Nope is necessary sometimes. 💛
