Denver 1969. In uniform ( military) An elderly French man stopped me asked to shake my hand then “Thank you! You Americans saved us French from the Nazis!”
I’ll take that to my grave.

Oh wow, that is so touching. So special. Thank you so much for sharing that story. I'm sure I would never forget that either

Shortly after we married, my wife and I were stranded by a freak snow storm in Atlanta. We were out of food and started walking down a steep hill to the grocery store. A stranger in a jeep stopped and not only drove us to the store, but waited for us and drove us home.
@exexec Awwwww.... I just love that. That is so beautiful. So kind of that person. That's showing real love.

@LadyGrace As a footnote, we were living in the richest section of Atlanta, so that was a very wealthy person who showed us that kindness. We were poor newlyweds living behind a church where I worked.

@anoderod55 So have I and I love that so much. I'm so happy to hear you're doing that as well. That's real love. 👍🙏

My son was 1.5 and having a bad day.
I was in the grocery line trying to pay with him in my arms and everything really did at that moment seem like way too much.

I had just thrown my cheating girlfriend out of the house 3 days before and things were just overwhelming me.

There was a lady about my mom’s age on her way out of the store and she stopped and without really asking said ‘“Here, just let me take him.” , and she scooped him right out my arms without me even replying.

Being overwhelmed I just went back to paying for the groceries as my son’s wailing just came to an end and I remember sighing so loudly and deeply that even people in other aisles turned to look.

I paid, told the lady Thank you, and she just walked away after saying “It’s going to be fine now.”
Which struck me because of the oddity of the phrasing.

Joe didn’t cry the whole way home and went to sleep that night and slept the entire night for the first time in days.
@HikingMan that's so touching and beautiful a story. I think you may have just been visited by an Angel in that woman. Thank you so much for sharing that. It really blessed me

Hebrews 13:2, which says, "Do not neglect to show hospitality to strangers, for thereby some have entertained angels unawares" (or "without knowing it"). Is your sounds like it because of what she said and how she said it. Wow. I'm very thankful for that story. These kind of stories do build our faith

It was yrs ago on sw. I asked for a specific position in a specific location. And a lovely lady contacted me gave me the email of the person in charge and we even talked on phone for like 30 mins abt that position. It was so kind of her. I dont remember her name or anything but it was so touching

Back in 2008, I was in NZ and there was no phone with me. A stranger met me at a restaurant. He offered me his phone to dial my home and did not even charge anything.
@DanielsASJ that is so sweet. Maybe it was an angel and you didn't know it but regardless, or if we had so many more people like that in this world.
DanielsASJ · 36-40, M
@LadyGrace Yes. The problem was there was a public holiday and all phone booths were closed for that day. That makes it even more special.
@DanielsASJ Yes! God bless that person for helping you.
Said "God Bless You" just passing by.
@RockinPop54 Awwww.... that is so wonderful. I just covet these type stories. Thank you so much for sharing that. And God bless you
@LadyGrace May God Bless You as well, M'Lady.
Be well, Stay well & walk in God's grace always.
