I really love this meme…

And it’s actually based upon fact:

That is beautiful! ❤️

I don't remember hearing about this, back then. A generous sacrifice...gift and gesture, for sure.
truly such h a kind and generous offer.
I wish I could give them even that.
caPnAhab · 26-30, M
Aww... It's not the cows, it's the gesture
@caPnAhab Indeed.
Scribbles · 36-40, F
🥹 that's really beautiful.
Kindness matters. 🖤

@DarkHeaven You are so right.

Oh I knew about this, and I remember that scene from Robin Hood. It totally blew me away when I heard about what Kenya did. 🥲
fun4us2b · M
Those people are so sweet...💜
Picklebobble2 · 56-60, M
A fantastic gesture.
Not least because it gets you questioning everything you assumed you knew about the Masai !
@Picklebobble2 I never assumed I knew that much, tbh.
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
The last time cows have been in the news was Devin Nunes Cow—and this story is much more positive than that one!
@KunsanVeteran True, Indeed.
DrWatson · 70-79, M
This is very touching.

It reminds me of the Gospel story of the widow's mite.
bookerdana · M
Thats really very cool..yay Masai !☺️
bookerdana · M
@bookerdana It really is mind-blowing that the tribesman even thought of that,never mind implementing it..there are good folks in the world
@bookerdana The fact that they cared enough about the people of the U.S. to reach out with kindness and empathy is heartwarming.

The Choctaw-Ireland Scholarship was instituted in honor of the assistance provided by the Choctaw people towards the people of Ireland during the Great Famine of the mid-nineteenth century. This $170 donation started a relationship between the two nations that has only deepened since the 1800s.
Pfuzylogic · M
how timely with the South Korea and Kapan Camp David meeting going on.
Nothing like love to get the diplomacy moving.
Pfuzylogic · M
@bijouxbroussard Joe has been busy with that today. He knows how to accomplish that with our allie’s since there is a natural animosity between the two countries when Japan occupied Korea. Could you imagine the buffoon trump trying to accomplish the same thing???
@Pfuzylogic No, I definitely can’t imagine Trump doing that. Just like he didn’t see any value in maintaining a relationship with Cuba. If he couldn’t get anything for himself, there was no point.
Pfuzylogic · M
@bijouxbroussard
Which is why putin, Kim and China (when they allowed Ivanka’s trademarks) were his best friends.
Not because it was in the U.S. interests but in his interest.

The poorest person who owns a dollar can give away that dollar and will have given everything they had.
Whereas a one percenter could give billions and will have given nothing.
Elessar · 26-30, M
@Renaci
a one percenter could give billions
Which is about as likely as finding fish on the moon
Damn👀🥺....who else feels they should make better world leaders .

My fate is to be forever downtrodden. One day I may fully understand His wisdom.
@SW-User
9/11 taught us that no one is so big that they can’t be brought low, even briefly.

And the response by the Masai should teach us that no one is so "small" that they can’t do something heroic.

@bijouxbroussard

No one? Not even Christ? How about God Himself? Can He be brought down? Didn't His Son ask why His Father forsook Him? (Sorry for all the capital spellings - I've been indoctrinated too well.)
@SW-User I’m not religious, so I’m speaking secular world.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
That movie made me so wobbly
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard omg that scene is exactly what it looks like. She gives her very last farthing to help. The actor who plays Friar Tuck is also the same guy who played Winnie the Poo IIRC
@Doomflower "Robin Hood", right ? It’s on Disney+, so I think I’ll check it out.
Doomflower · 36-40, M
@bijouxbroussard it's a really underrated classic.

The story of Robin Hood is fun in almost every iteration. Men in Tights is one of my favorites.
That's really precious. Thank you for sharing this with us, I had no idea.

Hugs, L. ❤️
Wow!!! That’s beautiful … made my eyes wet … 🥹
KunsanVeteran · 61-69, M
Thank you for sharing this!
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
Steak diplomacy?
JoyfulSilence · 46-50, M
@bijouxbroussard

Or maybe we just made cheese.

🤪
@JoyfulSilence Or a simple act of kindness without an agenda ?
