I Try to Be Kind to Everyone

[big]Can't we all try a little more kindness?[/big]

I was taught as a young kid that "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all." Maybe that's old fashioned, but somehow I don't think so. It takes no more effort to be nice than it does to be mean. As for me, I know it makes me feel better knowing that I was nice to someone else and treated them kindly. So how about it SWeeps? Care to try a little kindness to one another?

Sometimes, I take pleasure in calling someone out, but only with facts and truth.

Jordan Peterson, says no one is nice. He means we have a "shadow" character. Rumi, speaks of light and shadow in us, as does Jung, and other great minds of history.

It's only when we are willing to look our "shadow" in the face can we be fully whole, and actually a better person. I agree, except looking at your shadow can be shocking, so most don't.

The Dalai Lama said to be kind to everyone, and if you can't be kind, at least do no harm. I try to keep this as a guiding principle for my own life.
