Oh yeah! I've seen this one, it's heartwarming and harkens back to my childhood.
A wave; the toot of an air horn, or humouring my endless questions pit-side; made my month.
Every hole had to be peered into; every tractor mounted.
If it was yellow with a scoop & big tires, I was thrilled. And forever confident 4 yr old me could drive it.
For all their grit, workmen recognize the boyhood wonder & kindness that once inspired them, and pay it forward.
That gesture equals a lasting impression in the mind of a child.
Of course, later I'd go home and emulte the streetwork with toy miniatures of the machinery I'd seen.
Sometimes even playing in a gravel pile close to the construction site.
