I would like to say thanks.

When I was a young adult I couldn’t afford to go to school much past high school. I had exhausted bursaries but after using them I was pretty much done.

Around that time my BFFs mom offered me a good job and even helped me prep for the interview and test i had to take. Back then I didn’t think much about it, I thought she was just being nice by offering me a job bc I was friends with her daughter. But I think she prob knew I was poor but smart enough to go to school and she wanted to help me make some money to go to school.

With that job I not only paid for my schooling but also my first car and home. My home life was also pretty toxic at times so I needed out and got out. I got into a stable career and have been at it for over 2 decades.

I lost contact with that friend and her mom. But if she did what she did because of the reason I think she did, I just wanted to say thanks for believing in me and setting me up for a better life.
